Dr. Raquel looks at the full picture and determines what needs attention first: what to address, what to test, and what can wait. Your recommendations may include targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes, specific supplementation when appropriate, and lab testing when it will meaningfully guide care.
Ongoing Healing
At follow-up visits, she reviews how you’re responding and refines your plan based on your progress and any test results.

What is a Naturopathic Doctor?
A naturopathic doctor (ND) is a regulated healthcare professional trained in medical sciences, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and evidence-informed natural therapies. NDs complete at least eight years of post-secondary education, including a four-year, full-time program at an accredited naturopathic medical school. Their focus is identifying and addressing the root causes of health concerns. please let us know, otherwise we’ll ensure you receive the type of care that’s best for you.
Do you direct bill?
We don’t offer direct billing. Patients pay at the time of their visit. In most cases, we can submit your claim online to your insurance provider on your behalf.
If you’re set up for direct deposit, most reimbursements are received within 24–48 hours.
For insurance companies that don’t support online billing, we’ll provide receipts for reimbursement.
Do I need to take my clothing off?
Typically no. Most visits are discussion-based. If acupuncture or an injection is recommended, specific areas may need to be accessible. A gown will be provided if needed.
Do naturopathic doctors prescribe medication?
In Ontario, naturopathic doctors do not prescribe pharmaceutical drugs. They may recommend natural health products and work alongside medical doctors when medications are involved to ensure safety.
Can I see a naturopath if I take medications?
Absolutely! While NDs cannot alter medications provided by another prescribing physician, we will ensure that there are no interactions or risks with your individualized recommendations.
Can I see a naturopathic doctor even if I don’t want other therapies?
Yes. Naturopathic care is offered independently and does not require participation in other services.
Are lab tests required?
Not always. Testing is discussed on a case-by-case basis and is recommended only when it meaningfully informs your care.
Are supplements always recommended?
No. Supplements are used selectively. Nutrition, lifestyle, and foundational habits are prioritized first.
Do you see pregnant patients?
Yes. Care is provided in collaboration with your OB, midwife, or family physician.
Do you see children?
Yes. Patients ages 8 and older are welcome.
